this IS it

the stars were truly shining in downtown l.a. on tonight's red carpet at the "michael jackson's this is it" premiere. fans, celebrities and the staff had to brave some crazy, blustery santa ana winds. but the end result was great excitement and anticipation. everyone was emotional as the dj played a stellar variety of michael's greatest hits and payed tribute to a legend. i was, after all, working, so i don't have pics of everyone. but here's a little sampling of the evening...

others i brushed past: will smith, j-lo, paris hilton, jennifer love hewitt and jamie kennedy, mickey rooney (awwww), ashley tisdale, ian ziering, macy gray, cory monteith (glee), nigel lythgoe (sytycd), mario lopez, daisy fuentes, and kathy najimy. paula abdul turned up, too. i think she was tweeting from inside as she was watching the movie. anyway, very nice turnout and now we cross our fingers for some happy box office numbers...
