well, it's not really name-dropping. i have no real interaction with these celebrities. simply in the same room with them for a brief few moments. and if i happen to grab a couple of pics during that time...well, then...a new blog is born. hehe.
i am a member of the publicists guild, and i also sit on the committee for the publicists guild awards. we recognize outstanding publicity campaigns in both film and television. we also give credit to publicists and journalists each year, for their contribution in the field. today, the 47th annual awards luncheon was held at the century plaza hotel. below is a sampling of highlights (ignore the neon blue teleprompter that appears in front of the podium, damn it). yes, we're on the eve of the academy awards. and while today's little gathering doesn't hold a candle to the level of star-power that will be showcased on sunday, it's still an opportunity to honor a small but influential group of talented peers.

I'm a little surprised the pic posted of George is the same size as everyone else's pics. Figured you'd blow his up twice the size as the others. Or, perhaps you did and that pic is already hanging on your wall ;-)hehehe
